Concepts of Human Biology

Description

This course is a study of human biology as it relates to cells, tissues, and genetics. The biological features and significance of a typical eukaryotic cell, including its organelles, plasma membrane, nucleus, replication, and life cycle, will be explored. You will also gain an understanding of the fundamentals of genetics as you investigate the transference of traits from one generation to the next to determine patterns of inheritance. The micro and macroscopic anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system will also be examined to illustrate genetic inheritance. Microscopy, and experimentations will
reinforce biological processes and relationships.
