Community Policing
Description
Fostering strong relationships between law enforcement and communities lays the foundations towards a healthy, productive society. Students focus on the theories and models of community policing. The focus is on alternate resolution strategies involving the mobilization and engagement of police agencies alongside an integrated network of professionals and community partners. Students examine proactive crime prevention strategies that promote the safety and security of all community members. Students gain an understanding of the role of law enforcement and the importance of building partnerships to foster collaboration with communities.
