Collective Bargaining (BCH209)
Description
In this course, students will be provided with an in-depth examination of the collective bargaining process between management and labour. Emphasis is placed on the practical procedures to be followed in the collective bargaining process. These include strategies, tactics of persuasion, back-to-work protocol, and methods of costing the agreement. Special attention will be given to the definition and understanding of common clauses in a collective agreement and their significance to the parties.
