Bridging Pathophysiology
Description
This course is designed to reinforce and expand on the student's understanding of human pathophysiology. Before entering this course, it is expected that students will not only have a competent background in human anatomy and physiology, but also a basic introduction to the impact of pathologic states on the body. This course deals primarily with an integrated and systematic approach to pathophysiology, as all the major systems of the body will be examined. The focus of this course is on the pathogenesis of disease and the resulting clinical manifestations of the patient, but methods of diagnosis and treatment will also be investigated.
