Airline Destinations: Domestic and Transborder
Description
This course introduces the student to popular destinations in North America that are travelled to by airlines. In consideration of this, there will be a review of the Canadian Provinces and Territories, and a similar study of the United States. Many of the cities in Canada and the US are known to be popular with aircraft traffic. This course will explore the draw to those locations from a geographical perspective. This will lead to examinations of passenger profiles and the best carriers to provide service there. We will also discuss the type of aircraft most suited for it, and the service expectations customers might have. Students will learn the applicable city and airport codes and discover some of the more well-known attractions that a Flight Attendant may be called upon to describe and/or to sell onboard the aircraft. Finally, students will become acquainted with the Travel Advisories and Customs requirements of both Canada and USA, and practice filling out not only the Custom Cards for each country but the US Preclearance form, as well.
