Advanced ICU: Clinical Practicum
Description
This clinical component provides the student to participate in caring for critically ill patients in a variety of intensive care settings. Students will have an opportunity to examine and critically analyze issues affecting critical care nursing by integrating knowledge and clinical skills practice. Client safety, interprofessional practice, and advanced communication and problem solving competencies will be required of the student in this course.
The Level 3 ICU Nursing clinical is 96 hours and must be completed within a 3-month term. Nurses are required to do two shifts weekly following their preceptor's schedule
