Addictive Disorders

Description

Substance use disorders and other addictive behaviours represent a set of mental health problems that will affect more than one in five people over their lifetimes. It is now increasingly recognized that addictive disorders range beyond problematic substance use to include behaviours such as gambling and internet use. In this course, students develop the essential competencies required to identify and respond to addictive behaviours, important not only because of their prevalence, but also because of the high rates at which they co-occur with other mental and physical health problems.
